Fandom High Security Advisory: Shark Week

Local animal control organizations report that due to gulf currents and the sinking near Galactica Point of a tanker ship full of Applied Phlebotinum, there may be an upsurge of vicious predator activity in coastal and island areas this week.
Specific occurrences to watch out for
Monday: Inexplicable tuning of all Common Room and many personal televisions to shark-related programming, including nature documentaries, exotic cooking shows, and the entirety of the Mandibles ouvre, especially that TNT 24-hour repeat marathon of Mandibles 3-DD.
Tuesday: Roving gremlin bands may stalk locals from the shadows, playing (or humming) ominous theme music. Some have been reported to vary the song for individuals who already have their own ominous signature tunes. (Thanks to
heromaniac for this valuable warning.)
Wednesday: Circling shark fins (proportionately sized) may appear in any body of water, from the ocean to the duck pond to your commode to that glass of ice water you left out too long on the nightstand. We're given to understand that these fins are illusory and will disappear if the water is disturbed. Not that your characters know this.
Thursday: Use extreme caution, citizens! A school ofmoddable shark-headed Dobermans looks to be swimming ashore to attack the streets and beaches of Fandom. You might actually be a little safer in the water -- they can swim, but not very fast, since the best they can do is a dog-paddle. (Thanks to
angelo_wings for the advance tip on that one, lo these many years ago.)
Friday: That Applied Phlebotinum is still working its mutatey evil on the local fauna: the dreaded -- but also kind of pathetic and hilarious -- Land Shark will be making amoddable reappearance in Fandom, but this time with a twist. Instead of devouring his hapless victim whole, the Land Shark's bite is now contagious! Anyone bitten by one of these giant, bipedal foam sharks will become one, and feel the need to wander around Fandom for the rest of the day knocking on doors and spreading the disease. While still clearly having the same face and voice, yes. Have fun when you wake up normal on Saturday morning and everyone remembers you trying to deliver a candygram.
All shark-related phenomena and transformations should have fled the island by Saturday morning. Probably. We hope.
[OOC: Not that your characters know any of this is coming.]
